We Take Pride in Tradition

Prosperity Outreach

The biggest challenge many clients have with their lawyers is a lack of communication. One of our highest priorities at Younge & Hockensmith is client communication and access. It takes many forms including:

  • Regular status reports, even when there's little to report.
  • Timely copies of correspondence and pleadings.
  • Written follow-up on most conversations, to memorialize facts and conclusions.
  • Professional errors and omissions (such as legal and real estate malpractice)
  • Prompt response to emergencies, including calls to lawyers' homes and visits to clients' homes and businesses.
  • 24-hour access via fax and e-mail.
  • We return our phone calls. If a lawyer is unavailable or out of the office, our staff takes the initiative to learn whether the call can wait, a message should be forwarded, or the call taken by another lawyer.

Over the years we have earned a reputation for being tough litigators -- unremitting in advancing our clients' interests through

Our Contribution to Health and Success of the Community

Our lawyers' service and leadership in community and civic organizations has not only contributed to the health and success of institutions, it has knit our lawyers into the fabric of the community.

Community Service

As you will notice in the individual profiles of our firm's lawyers, our firm has a long tradition of service to the community and the legal profession. We are proud of this record and believe that it is an important attribute of our firm. Our lawyers' service to the bar, through section activities and service on Supreme Court committees, has done more than sharpen our professional skills. It has improved the performance and administration of our legal system as well.

An integral part of our service to the community involves pro bono legal assistance for low income individuals. All the attorneys at Younge & Hockensmith are encouraged to offer their legal expertise in pro bono cases. We also continue to support the Mesa County Pro Bono Project with generous yearly grant funding.

Our lawyers' service and leadership in community and civic organizations has not only contributed to the health and success of these institutions, it has knit our lawyers into the fabric of the community. Participation in these activities, which are worthwhile in their own right, extends the credibility and stature of our lawyers outside the legal community.
