We take care to plan ahead so that every case, however large or complex, has the necessary firm resources devoted to it. Superior preparation produces superior results and we are proud of our entire firm's ability to deliver massive amounts of timely professional and support services when required.

Nevertheless, we don't believe that a client's interests are always best served by litigation. Settlement and Alternative Dispute Resolution are explored early and pursued when our clients deem it appropriate.

In appropriate cases, we assign a "team" consisting of a supervising attorney, associate attorney, paralegal and secretary. Every team member has defined responsibilities to ensure that the case receives thorough analysis and attention at the appropriate level. This team approach allows us to assign a case to the team with the most experience in a particular area, utilizes paralegal and support staff more extensively, and assures continuous oversight of a client's problem.

Together with the client, we typically formulate a litigation plan at the outset to serve as a road map for handling the case. The plan sets goals and deadlines and also provides a means of controlling costs and fees. Continual review and revision of the litigation plan occurs as the case progresses.

The cost of litigation can be high, sometimes very high. Still, we apply our experience and systems to keep costs as low as possible. We review with our clients the relative cost and benefit of the efforts put forth on their behalf. We analyze each claim at the start of our work and throughout the case. As more facts are developed, we update the client as to the likely course of litigation and potential outcomes. Keeping our clients well informed of the progress of their cases is always an important element of our service. While we cannot completely control the cost of litigation, the course it will take, or the eventual outcome, we make every effort to work with our clients as "partners" in the process.
